Learn all about what goes into producing a successful improvised one act.
The end goal of this class is putting up a show. Students will focus on the tenets of a solid improvised one act, while also focusing on performance skills like stage presence, stage pictures, basic blocking principles, working with a director, and realistic characters.
Classes will be treated like rehearsal. Students will learn the title of the improvised one act on the first day of class. The class will establish boundaries to ensure a safe environment that allows students to challenge themselves.
Dates: Sundays 1/4 – 1/25 with an additional class on 1/29.
Performances: 1/30 and 1/31 at 7:30pm
Class Times: 10am–12pm
1/29 will be 7–9pm
Cost: $250
Class Size: Limited to 8 students.
Age: 18+
Students are asked to have 3 levels of improv class experience from any institution. Unexpected absences are fine but students who sign up are expected to be at class, on time and ready to go.
